Hotel Ferretti

Great location

We recently stayed two nights each in the “classic city view” and “superior city view” rooms on our way into and out of Florence. Getting there from the airport was a breeze. Surface tram to a short walk into town. I think a cab would have been more of a problem. A car of your own, a nightmare. We arranged late check in which was flawless. The staff communicated very well and the system they used worked well. The rooms are adequate. Well cleaned but I’ll say maintenance must be tough in these old buildings. It was well worn. In the Superior room, the sheets were clean but the bed cover had old stains and was “past its respectable life”. Both rooms had instant coffee and an electric kettle. The superior had a small fridge. NO AC but a fan and an open window were fine the end of September October. Bathrooms in the rooms were clean water hot and plentiful. Shower heads were a bit past their life sort of sputtering water out. The toilet in the superior room was temperamental. There was actually a hand written sign saying hold the button down for a while. It worked more than not. Again, location!!!! You could pay a lot more but this location was great for the historical down town, museums, cafes, we literally walked everywhere. There was a cafe downstairs from our windows that were active until easily 11pm. Much quieter if you can close the window. So, if a little deferred maintenance is something you find charming this is a gem.

A very functional hotel. Right in the Centre of Town. Looks a bit small from the outside, but clean. We did not see any staff as we got in after 5.00pm and left before 9.00am.

O hotel é bem localizado, muito perto de tudo, mas não tem recepção 24 horas, chegamos e não havia ninguém, conseguimos entrar, pois alguém deixou a porta aberta. Na última noite a água do chuveiro não esquentou, tomamos banho super gelado.

We loved the location, staff was great. Id stay again, no air conditioner but we got a fan and were great. Watch out for the mosquitos.

Great location in old town core. Older building two flights of stairs to rooms. No AC, but a fan in the room and nice window for ventilation. We went late September with day time temps at 80 but were comfortable. Helpful front desk staff during hours. We had an after hours check in but were informed the day prior about how to get in and it worked flawlessly.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed my stay, everything was reachable on foot and he location is just brilliant. It was way more clean, than I would have thought and wished for. But the furniture and the interior is just something you'll have to get used to

The hotel was very close to all of the main sights and was less than a 5 minute walk from the SML train station. The staff were incredibly helpful and prompt in their response when we required a late check-in. They allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel after check out so we could explore the city and return to grab our bags when it was time for our train later in the afternoon. The rooms weren't anything special, but had everything that we needed for the night. I would definitely stay here again.

Totally worn down property, unfriendly staff, floor tiles in the room were broken, no help desk after 5pm. The worst hotel Ive stayed in Europe
