Kimpton EPIC Hotel by IHG

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ After a very disappointing experience at another hotel, I was honestly considering driving the nine hours back home and canceling my birthday trip altogether. Thankfully, Sophia and bellhop Idael at the Kimpton EPIC completely changed that. Because of what had happened at the previous property, I was hesitant to book another hotel without seeing the room first. Sophia took the time to listen to my concerns and graciously allowed me to view the room before booking. Idael personally escorted me to the room, answered my questions, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. After viewing the room, I briefly visited another nearby hotel to compare options. The experience there was cold and unwelcoming, which only made me appreciate the genuine kindness and professionalism I had received at the Kimpton EPIC even more. I immediately returned and booked my stay. What stood out most was that Sophia and Idael genuinely cared. This wasn't just another reservation to them. I was celebrating my birthday with my daughter, two military veterans, and our dog, and they understood how important this trip was. At a time when I was stressed, disappointed, and ready to give up on the entire trip, they made us feel welcomed, respected, and valued. They didn't just provide excellent customer service—they helped save my birthday celebration. Their kindness, patience, and willingness to go above and beyond turned what could have been a terrible experience into a wonderful memory. While my experience with the spa was disappointing, the hospitality provided by Sophia and Idael was exceptional. They are the reason I chose the Kimpton EPIC, and they are the reason I would absolutely return. Thank you, Sophia and Idael, for your outstanding service, compassion, and professionalism. You made all the difference, and Kimpton EPIC is fortunate to have you both.

I had a serious accident in the shower during my stay due to what I believe is a safety hazard in the bathroom. After the incident, I sent multiple emails over the course of nearly two months trying to contact management. Not once did anyone respond, follow up, or even check on my well-being. (There’s a big step when you’re going in the shower) What is most disappointing is not only the lack of concern after a guest was injured, but the complete absence of communication. If you stay here, please be extremely careful in the shower area, as it may pose a safety risk. I expected at least a response or acknowledgment, but received nothing. Customer service and guest safety should be taken much more seriously.

I had a great experience at the hotel. The staff were very helpful & friendly, especially Jean Baptiste! I would highly recommend.

Hotel has beautiful views, walking distance to everything and very helpful, polite and hard working staff. Room was clean and pleasant but I was expecting to be a bit more wowed by the esthetics.
