Hotel Casanova

Basic accomodations at a good price. Needed a room close to Garibaldi. Great location with all you need around.

Excellent and friendly staff. Very good hotel. Excellent location not far from main railway station, airport shuttle bus, restaurants, bars, pizzerias and main places of interest, such as Old town, museums and many others.

Room needs fumigation. Should be smoke free with no ashtrays

The room smelled really bad of nicotine. Why would you have ashtrays, only to encourage people to smoke?

Good friendly place

I stayed here for three nights. The hotel is convenient to Napoli Centrale/Garibaldi, which offers connections to Sorrento, Pompeii, Rome and the airport among other places. The area is very dirty and you'll find some questionable people hanging around the public square at night. However, much of Naples can be this way and it was a bit of a culture shock to me. There are many cafes and stores nearby. I received a very modest rate on an OLTA. Staff was all very friendly. I had a room at the end of the upstairs hall. It had a queen bed, armoire, flat TV with remote, a small table, two night stands, adequate overhead and reading lights. There was an air conditioner and radiator heat that worked fine. Wifi was perfect. Bathroom was simple but clean with only a shower. It had tall ceilings and the windows had shutters that could be pulled to completely block the light or adjust it. I couldn't get the TV to work and bath towels were missing but I'm sure had I reported these issues, they would have been immediately resolved. Warm, fresh chocolate croissants, tea/coffee, juices and pastries were served by friendly staff, who also cleaned the rooms each morning. Staff seemed to speak limited English but I had no probably communicating with them and after all, it's Italy not Canada. I went with four circles, instead of five because the area is kind of unpleasant and will concern some people. Further, there were very minor issues with the room. However, the area seemed much safer than it looked and all-in-all, my experience was very positive. Would happily stay here again and wouldn't even bother looking elsewhere.

Decent

Great place. Friendly people at reception, breakfast and the house keeping staff. A 7 minute walk to the train station. Great restaurants in the area and great shopping also. I would recommend hotel Casanova any time you’re in Napoli. 🇮🇹 I will come back in March or April.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Gianni at the reception desk is great. He helps me whenever I have questions. Lucia and Natale who serve breakfast are great too. Even the older man Pino is very nice. I always stay at Hotel Casanova when I’m in Napoli if they have a room available.
