Hyatt Zilara Cancun - All Inclusive - Adults Only

We went to Cancun for a quick celebratory family vacay to relax and rewind. We had not previously stayed at this resort, but knew it had been renovated and just recently reopened. While we can’t compare it to the way it was, we were impressed and pleased with everything overall. Everyone was kind and always willing to help. The Spa was a great experience and I’d highly recommend! Gym was also great as was the Pilates class. Wish we would’ve utilized the gym a little more. Be sure to make reservations for the speakeasy!! The resort was not crowded at all so we had no problems finding chairs at the pool or the beach. Both pools are great as they were super clean and perfect temperature. The seaweed on the beach was a lot, but no fault of anyone at the Zilara. We didn’t have a bad food experience. If I had one recommendation or wish, it would be that there was a beach or poolside grill. Spices, the buffet, is just a few steps away though and very easy to grab something to carry out to the pool.

We had the best time! Not the party place I heard it was, but that was OK with me. It was very classy and upscale. The service was impeccable, food was delicious and the rooms were great. They were very large all the rooms face the ocean there’s a Jacuzzi tub on the balcony the views are just spectacular. I will definitely go back again.

We will no doubt be adding to the hotel review as the week progresses (spoiler alert - it’s been fantastic so far), but tonight we wanted to review Olio-Oliva, which is the hotel’s Italian restaurant. The setting is beautiful, covered outside with view of the ocean, and each course was delicious. In particular, we would like to recommend asking to be seated where Guillermo is your server. He was exceptional in his recommendations and service, and was a real joy throughout the evening. He made the evening all the more special.

This is the second time we've stayed at Zilara Cancun. We loved the resort the first time and love it even more the second visit. Zilara Cancun is quick drive from the airport. The location is perfect to get to any excursions as well. The resort has been recently remodeled to be updated and modern. The rooms all have a beach view and the balconies have brand new hot tubs. Rooms are quiet, you won't hear your neighbors at all. The beds are comfy too! Service is spectacular, everyone is attentive, welcoming, accommodating, and a joy to interact with. The restaurants will accommodate even the most particular requests for the pickiest eaters. Rooms are super clean and tidied up daily. The pool is large and has sufficient amounts of cabanas and free loungers. Drinks are tasty and the food is truly 5 out of 5. The food is fresh and flavorful. The seafood in particular has been excellent. The value for this resort is great as well. A special shout out to Victor at Bugambilia, Mateo at Bugambilia, Angel chef at teppanyaki, Carlos at teppanyaki, Abimael at the pool side cabanas for making our stay spectacular.

What an incredible stay with our entire family. At the pool Abi and Jose were great servers - so attentive. Diana did an incredible Pilates class every morning. In the restaurants Cesar, Wilson, Victor, Melissa, and Carlos took excellent care of us! Gonzalo and Sandi were so fun and kept us moving ! Thank you to Dolores for always keeping our room ready for us :)

This was our 26th visit to this resort starting when it was The Royal Cancun in 2008 and later Hyatt Zilara in 2013. Our last visit was March 2025 the last week before renovations began and we returned May 12 shortly after major renovations were completed. It was a long agonizing wait to return to our “second home”. It was so good to see that most of our friends who worked there before had returned as they are a big reason we keep coming back. I’m not going to lie, there are things we live and miss from prior to renovation mainly architectural character that is gone (columns, arches on balconies and wrought iron railing , the waterfall, mariachi statues and the horse from over the lobby bar. BUT, the main reason we return as said are the amazing staff . The general Manager Mr Rojas promised to bring them back and he was able to get majority back. He was also very attentive and asked us and other guests multiple times how things were going and for feedback back. Many people couldn’t believe how hands on he was but we’ve known from many trips last 3 years with him there. Yes we definitely miss the unique look we fell in love with but they’ve made so many improvements like the new Italian Restaurant, Bokeh Speakeasy, pool level bathrooms, added stairs and railings into pools, updated smoother elevators, chairs and umbrellas at the beach and chairs in the pool etc. I do wish the pool chairs were adjustable and that the beach chairs in front of the infinity ledge in pool could move North to provide a clearer view of ocean but we definitely like the addition of chairs/umbrellas but location could improve slightly.

We stayed during the very first week that Hyatt Zilara Cancun opened, and I admit that we were a little nervous about booking the resort opening week. Any concerns we had disappeared almost immediately. The resort is absolutely stunning. We stayed in the presidential suite and I could not have asked for a more beautiful view. The atmosphere throughout the resort felt luxurious, relaxing, and welcoming all at once. Every detail was thoughtfully done, and the staff made the experience unforgettable. I celebrated my birthday during the trip and The team went above and beyond to make me feel special. Our butlers Jorge and Brandon made sure that the day was incredible from start to finish. We traveled with close friends and it ended up being one of the best vacations we’ve taken together. The food at every restaurant there was phenomenal. Pier 12 quickly became our favorite restaurant- the seafood was unbelievably fresh ! We loved it so much that one day we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there . The carajillo (sp?) dessert drink was I yummy ! Our server Marcelino was exceptional. By the 2nd day he already knew our orders ! He genuinely made us feel like he cared. I had read reviews before our trip where people said the Zilara “feels like home” and now I can completely understand why they say that. The warmth and hospitality of the staff are truly something special. In fact, we already booked our return trip for September because we loved it that much. Cesar at the Mexican restaurant also deserves recognition. It’s evident he truly takes pride and creating an unforgettable dining experience. We never had to ask for refills and the way he presented dessert was like watching a show! One of the highlights of the trip was the White party. The acrobatics, dancing, singing and violin performances were amazing but what truly stood out was when the manager Edward Rojas came out and to personally introduce and thank members of the staff. It felt heartfelt and genuine and made us feel like we were part of something bigger than just a vacation. This resort exceeded every expectation we had. Beautiful property, incredible food, outstanding service and people who truly care about creating a memorable experience . We cannot wait to go back !

I loved this solo vacation! This was my second trip to Hyatt Zilara Cancun. The new remodel is incredible and has definitely elevated the resort to an even better class of hotel. The food is still tasty with a bunch of different options. They have an incredible pool stretching the length of the resort right on the beach. They had just a few hiccups during my stay, as to be expected with a brand new opening, but they exceeded my expectations throughout my four-night stay. The hotel staff all made my vacation feel very personal and I can't wait to go back again, I'll definitely return.
