Residence Inn by Marriott Miami Airport

This is a cheap airport Marriott. You get what you’d expect. You should expect the typical cheap towels, cheap sheets, uncomfortable bed, hair in the bathroom, bright lights, popcorn ceilings, etc. It’s an incredibly busy hotel with not only airport travelers but conferences happening. Tried to order a vegan dish (only one) on the dining menu and was told “we don’t have that”. Don’t expect any healthy food.. think ballpark vibes. The M club was okay, but wish they’d post or explain that you can use the buffet outside the club in the restaurant as well, otherwise it’s akin to a Hampton Inn. Marriott has tiers, this particular one is more like a select Marriott (is a Courtyard). Only stay here if you need the shuttle to the airport and are using Bonvoy pts.

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel, and I'm compelled to share my experience due to the unacceptable service and blatant racial discrimination my family and I faced. We arrived excited for my birthday cruise and were initially pleased with the hotel's beautiful atmosphere and spacious, clean rooms. However, our experience quickly turned sour when we encountered discriminatory behavior from the staff. We were told that our reservation included complimentary breakfast, but when we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted with impolite stares and told we weren't on the list. As the only people of color in the restaurant, we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. The lack of service continued throughout our stay, with staff ignoring us and providing different levels of service compared to other guests. I was directed to go to another hotel to print a document, while other guests received assistance. The bed was also uncomfortable, feeling hard and affecting our sleep. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by unacceptable behavior from the staff, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those who value equality and respect. *Service: 1/5* *Cleanliness: 3/5* *Amenities: 2/5* *Value: 1/5*
