Golden Tower Hotel & Spa

A gem of a family run hotel in central Florence, within 7-10 minutes of most attractions. Spent 5 very enjoyable nights (including a birthday) which everyone in the hotel went above and beyond to make special - thank you. We had a his/ hers massage in the spa which was relaxing, and our room 501 has a separate jacuzzi & an outdoor area to sit and relax. Considering breakfast is advertised as a buffet, you are offered cooked eggs and bacon along with a wide selection of croissants and fruits. As my wife will attest I’m someone who likes to set the bar high, & would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely boutique hotel. Our thanks and congratulations, to The Golden Tower staff!

"Is it Near The Important Places I will Visit?" Golden Tower is quite literally in the heart of the city, 5 min walk to the Duomo, 5 min walk to Ponte Vecchio and about 8 to cross to the other side of the Arno. Walk to the train station in 12 minutes and all the museums and best restaurants within 15 minutes. Plus the hotel is located just off the main streets - thus close to everything without opening into foot and car traffic; i.e. quiet. "Are the Staff Nice?" Super nice. Super helpful. Could help us when we needed it and didn't bug us when we didn't. "Are the Rooms Nice?" Ours was. We had a single large bed (likely 2 singles put together as they tend to do in smaller Italian hotels), and it was very comfortable. I slept great. Couldn't her neighbors at all. Bathroom was large, had a bath (we requested it), and the room itself was larger than the ones I've stayed in previously in Florence. "How's the breakfast?" Very good. What I expect from relatively nice Italian hotels. They all do breakfast pretty well. Lots of options, sweet to savory, eggs and bacon, yogurt and pastries etc. Great start to the day. "How's the spa?" Don't know. didn't use it. "How's the decor?" Very Firenzian - ornate an classical. This isn't contempo modern. But I don't want that in downtown Florence anyway. "How's the value?" Great. Given the cost we paid for 5 nights compared to other boutique luxury hotels, I'd say it's generally more value for the money. Especially given its location. We went in early April though, and prices may adjust as summer approaches. "Is it noisy?" Not at all. Almost never. Couldn't even hear the streets. "Would you stay again?" Absolutely.

This hotel is indeed lovely and is ideally located in the heart of everything! An absolute stand out feature and stand out employee was SIMONE!, who tended the beautiful bar area located in the beautiful lobby! He absolutely went above and beyond to serve up delicious cocktails and small plates that we all enjoyed! The breakfast s are absolutely outstanding and the breakfast team are so kind and efficient in making your favorite coffees each morning! My son and his fiance had booked the GOLDEN SUITE which is the premier suite at this hotel. Please do know that it is lovely, but it is located on a different elevator where you may feel isolated. The view in this lovely suite is disappointing as you are literally looking at a wall from the window in the living room and a rather creepy area from the master bedroom. As the air conditioning was not yet turned on for the season, the only window that I would leave open (my son and his fiance ended up taking my room) was the living room window because it was higher from the ground. And yes, there was street noise, but I could close my bedroom door… although then the room became too warm. The room I had booked was a Junior Suite with a Jacuzzi and it was lovely and bright. My son did alert the front desk team that the shower, though lovely, did not drain well. The hotel was very kind and sent a lovely bottle of Prosecco to my son and his fiance in celebration of their engagement! Thank you for a lovely stay. My son and his fiance did enjoy the compliment Art Spa hour that came with booking the Golden Spa Suite.

Exceptional location. 10-13 minutes to walk to any key points. The staff is very attentive. The room cleaning is excellent.

Please serve more greens for breakfast.

Incredible stay at The Golden Tower Hotel, we stayed for 5 nights. Everything was perfect. Amazing room, Golden Suite, great breakfast choice (staff couldn’t be any friendlier) and the whole team were always attentive and helpful, true service with a smile. We would 100% recommend staying here, perfect location too!
