"Excellent"

8.0

"Ideal for independant budget traveller"

10.0

Ideal BnB for visiting Rome independantly on a budget. 5 mins to Metro then 15-30 mins to town centre and main tourist areas. Local area is not appealing but its safe people are friendly there are some handy grocery/fruit etc shops, restaurants and cafes. Owner manager Paulo is fantastic he made us very welcome, helped us sort out our itineray and made reservations for us. BnB is simple, very clean, breakfast (24hrs) is coffee and cake etc, kitchen is fully fitted for snacks or simple cooking and a laundry service is available. Some, most I think, have private bathrooms others are shared. Recommend to speak to Paulo re arrival from airport and directions etc especially if arriving late and be very very careful for pickpockets in the city. We caught one with her hand in our bag fortunately we were not robbed, think about a under clothing wallet.

"Nice place to stay and use metro to get to sites"

10.0

We stayed for 3 days. The rooms were clean, the staff helpful (Paolo was on vacation when we visited), espresso machine and food items available 24/7, common kitchen with cooking items available for all guests. There was a common refrigerator and small refrigerators in the room. The rooms were on the third floor. The location was a five minute walk from a metro station and a small grocery store. It was a 15 minute metro ride to the central part of the city and trains came every 5-10 minutes. We bought a 3 day metro pass for our stay. There is no sight seeing near the location and the local area seems a bit iffy (don't spend any time at the local park), but we had no problems with evening walks from the metro station. We were told that there were good local places to eat near by, but we didn't try any of the restaurants. This would be a great place for a family that needs more than one or two beds and wants to make some of their own meals. This is not a good place if you are looking to stay within walking distance of the tourist sites.

"Nice place close to the Metro"

The location initially looked bad, but ended up being fine. Very close to the Metro, therefore, all of Rome. Management was very good. Room was clean and fairly comfortable. Overall a good experience.

"Martini Bed Hospitality par excellence"

10.0

Paolo is very friendly and always ready to extend his helping hand. On arrival he explained to us how we can go around and visit the different attractions of the city. He also made us aware about the danger of pickpockets on Rome Metro. The Hotel is located pretty close to the Centre of the city. It takes about 15 minutes to reach Termini by metro from the Porta Furba Metro station. The Porta Furba Metro Station is at 1-2 minutes walking distance from the apartment complex where Martini Bed is present. A supermarket is present just close to the Metro station. Anything you need is located close enough. Paolo even provides a local map. About the Hotel: Now one must understand this is not a regular hotel. However, it is an excellent place to stay and explore Rome. Here you get access to a shared kitchen and certainly helps if you are on a budget travel mode. The cleanliness is excellent and other amenities like hot water round the clock is adequate. The breakfast is simple but again adequate, great for the overall price. The hotel also provides a safe within the room where you can leave youur cash and expensive items. It is not safe to carry a lot of cash around Rome as my father got robbed on the metro by an innocuous looking child pickpocket. So leave your expensives at the Hotel safe. If I tour Rome again I would prefer to stay at Martini Bed. Thanks Paolo

"Convenient hotel near center of Rome"

10.0

Family of five with teenagers. Convenient taxi drive from airport (got one for €40 near midnight when our flight got in, which was better than the first taxi drivers wanted to give us). Short stay as we checked out in the morning to continue our trip. Comfortable, though quirky, clean, room. Clean private bathroom. Kitchen is equipped for use and basic breakfast foods are available for each room.

"great for a large family"

8.0

stayed here for a week in April with my family of five, its really hard to find large rooms in European cities when you have five people. but martini bed was able to accommodate us perfectly. we had a room with a balcony and private although down the hall bathroom and breakfast. the breakfast is typical Italian but those of us from north america call it just a light snack, but it was great and gave us a good start for touring Rome. Paulo the owner gave us good advice in how to tour the city and navigate our way around. we took a day trip to Pisa and based on paulos advice the trip although very long went smoothly. My only complaint is that the other guest smoked heavily in the guest house and this really turned us off. would stay again next time were in Rome.

"Fantastic place to stay when in Rome"

10.0

We had a fantastic time in Rome thanks to MartiniBed and Paolo. For a family of five to be able to have a room they could all stay in and relax was great rather than be cooped up in hotel rooms. Having the well-stocked 24/7 kitchen was excellent and much better than having to call room service in a hotel to get a tea or coffee. Free wifi a fantastic bonus too. Just a couple of minutes to the Metro and quickly into the city centre with authentic supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Would recommend to everyone.
