Hôtel Jardin de Cluny

The hotel is conveniently located but since it’s in a small pedestrian only street, it’s quiet. The room was nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable beds. The breakfast was decent and the staff warm and professional. It’s a great find in the 5ème arrondissement.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic — right in the city center, making it easy to explore everything on foot, yet situated in a quiet and safe area that allowed us to relax and enjoy peaceful nights. The staff was always kind, welcoming, and available to help with any request, which made us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of quality food. At the same time, the surrounding neighborhood offers plenty of lovely cafés and bakeries for those who enjoy trying different breakfast spots. The room was beautifully decorated with refined taste and attention to detail, creating a very elegant and comfortable atmosphere. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we slept wonderfully every night. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

Starting off with the positive: the hotel is in a great location, very near to Notre Dame, Shakespeare Books, the Sorbonne, tons of great restaurants and shopping. It's walking distance to many other sights. The hotel's public spaces are nice and the breakfast buffet is quite good. HOWEVER, and this is a big however, our room was JUST AWFUL. It was tiny (maybe a foot of space on one side of the bed and maybe two feet on the other side), with the night tables just tiny shelves attached to the wall. There was absolutely no room for open suitcases, so we had to unpack (though there is very little space to put your clothes) and store the suitcases in a very cramped bathroom. Speaking of bathroom, the amenities were sub-par, with towels that have definitely seen better days and a shower that leaked all over the floor. But perhaps the worst thing was that the room's tiny window looked out over a tiny concrete courtyard so our "view" was of an ugly blank wall. The room was dark and felt like a prison cell. We could also hear every word spoken either in the courtyard or in the hallway. And, while the folks at reception were generally nice, when my husband went to get some coffee early in the morning (the coffee in the room is instant) and took a piece of baguette to go with it, the woman serving breakfast scolded him, saying he was only entitled to one breakfast. Given the quality of the room, this is NOT a four star hotel. Never again.

Staff was excellent. I missed breakfast one morning and the front desk got me pastries and coffee.

Room was next to the elevator and there was some noise through the walls at night. Love the breakfast and the lounge downstairs.

Clean, lovely decor, perfect position for us, great breakfast.

Little things - room never perfect - toiletries, coffee etc never fully replaced etc - very good but always something not quite right. I thought I’d paid for a better room when I booked so was disappointed - view over inner courtyard, dark as well - staff not particularly helpful when enquiring about changing rooms.
