Mandarin Oriental, Miami

Perfect location and luxury experience!! This is a wonderful hotel with excellent views and wonderful service! I highly recommend! The hotel is well appointed and the staff was friendly and welcoming with a fully booked hotel. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be good but it was great!

Hotel was nice enough but the customer service at the front desk was horrendous. Every time we called for anything they got things completely wrong or didn’t do anything at all. It was like we were speaking a different language when we weren’t. E.g. we told them not to get our luggage from our room and we had it taken care of and when we came up to the room all our things were out of the room that we needed to change and reorganize. Very frustrating & strange because they acted like they understood us when we were on the phone.

The hotel was a convenient place to stay for our trip exploring Miami. We enjoyed walking into Brickell as well as having a slightly more picturesque and calmer place to return to. The hotel is very nice, but is showing it's age. One of the faucets on our bathtub didn't work, rendering the tub unusable, and the bathroom had a flickering light. One high note was the lovely and kind valets who remembered us and our kids each time we came back!

So sad that the Miami Mandarin is closing soon for renovations. This recent trip was our favorite by far. The staff are going even more out of their way to make guests feel special. I think it is who they are, but even extra to honor the transition that is coming up. Gerald at the bar is a standout, also the incredibly delightful lady who brought us breakfast room service on Sunday morning. We stay at a lot of 5 star hotels and the training and consistent focus on the customer experience here at the Mandarin Miami is as good as it gets. We might even be able to sneak in one more trip before she closes, however even if we can't we'll eagerly anticipate her return.

Was only in Miami for one night and wanted something special. The room was lovely with a great view and balcony. We ate dinner on the terrace at La Mar which had amazing food and very warm and attentive service. Would love to come and stay longer...
