Regency Miami Airport by Sonesta

Hotel public areas are lovely. Rooms not great. We thought the bed had been slept in as the sheets and pillowcases looked used but it turns out that they don’t iron the sheets and they go on the bed crumpled. Not very encouraging. Very musty smell in room although room was clean. Toilet blocked from first flush. Toilet paper floating all day and not suctioning down and water rising to top of toilet bowl. Definitely not good. Worst part of all was that the staff were the rudest I’ve ever encountered in any hotel. Absolutely horrible and extremely uncaring. The only pleasant employee we encountered was the girl who was working in the bar at lunchtime Sunday 8th. She was a pleasure to deal with. We used the airport shuttle service. Again a very rude driver who dropped us all off at Miami airport arrivals rather than departures. As all escalators and elevators in that area were out of order it resulted in a major struggle to negotiate stairs with heavy cases. I understand that the condition of the elevators etc in another building is their responsibility but we used the shuttle to bring us to departures, not arrivals, and this did not happen. I would never use this hotel again and was very glad I was not staying the night there. I wouldn’t stay overnight there even if I got it for free!!! Avoid.

Very good experience! Free shuttle bus to and from airport. Very clean in the lobby and hotel rooms. I felt safe! 24 hour security. Nice pool! Food and bar. Convenient location ls near the hotel! First time in Miami and I loved it!!!!

The rooms were clean, the front desk team were helpful and the breakfast was more than adequate. Would definitely stay here again

Making a reservation was easy, immediately I received instructions where to find the shuttle stop at the airport and what to look for. The shuttle took a while to arrive, the driver was courteous, but went straight to the Sonesta hotel and drop everyone there, we were never asked which hotel we were going to. When I went to the counter the staff member politely informed me I was at the wrong place and gave me directions to the Regency hotel. I was with my 80 year old mom and luggage and we had to walk. Easy walk for me but not for her. Staff at the regency was fast and courteous, I mentioned the issue with the shuttle but I was ignored. The rooms are nice , clean, very quiet. I was very impressed of how well kept it is. In the morning we went to get breakfast, food was cold including the oatmeal, I brought it to their attention and later they turn on the food heaters. Coffee was cold too. Other than that our staying was very good. I will recommend it and book again with them.

Great service, very professional the staff and most important the amiability.

I was looking for a hotel not too expensive near by airport and this was the best option. They even offered a shuttle bus to the airport.

It was outstanding. Wonderful customer service, clean, quite and great location. I highly recommend staying here.

Careful with the free shuttle from the airport. I waited 2 hrs because the shuttle was full and it makes a run every 45 minutes. Very disappointing.
