M Taipei Hotel

We liked the location, 5 minutes to Taipei City Hall. The hotel (I'd definitely describe it as a hostel rather than a hotel) is perfectly located near a wide variety of restaurants The small double beds was surprisingly soft and comfortable. It's so convenient that this place has a water dispenser with both hot and cold water. The security staff on the first floor were friendly and helpful, but they spoke very little English.

We didn't like the bathroom, it was poorly cleaned, you could see small hairs all over the bathroom floor. There was no hand soap, but it was eventually fixed when we called to ask for it. The drainage in the shower was quite clogged, but I didn't have the heart to call and complain because it wasn't easy to get a hold of the staff. Also, I don't believe they can fix it that quickly. It feels pretty gross to shower. We missed hanging hooks and more clothes hangers both in the bathroom and where it's natural to hang clothes. No housekeeping or fresh towels provided during our stay. Also, the area under the beds was very dusty. The bath towels were thin, one was very worn and had holes. The wallpaper was cold and impersonal We didn't like the smell in the hallway, it felt dirty. We also had trouble finding the hotel lobby.

Was difficult to locate the hotel, and check-in wasn't very smooth. The hotel could have given specific instructions upon booking. Room and amenities are worn out Layer of dust on TV screen and surfaces. It's very different from the photos
