La Francesa Suites

Der Inhaber hat uns sehr freundlich begrüßt, uns die Busverbindung zur Innenstadt erklärt sowie Restaurantempfehlungen gegeben. Parken kann man vor der Tür kostenlos. Das Hotel ist einfach, aber sehr hübsch hergerichtet und ruhig. Das Frühstück war wunderbar, man kann sich vorab aussuchen, was man essen möchte.

Very friendly family run hostal, generous breakfast in traditional Spanish courtyard. Rooms delightfully decorated.

Staff were super helpful. The place was really nicely decorated. It's quiet. It's a bus ride from the centre of Malaga (number 3 or 11), but there's nice beaches within walking distance.

I stayed at this Bed & Breakfast for one night, by my self, and it was excellent. The owners was very friendly and helpful. They told me about the city and how I could go to different places, and I didn't even have to ask. The breakfast was also good, you got to choose from different alternatives the day before and you also picked a time for your breakfast the following day. Then they had your breakfast ready when you arrived in the morning. A very pleasant experience to stay at this hotel!

We hebben een hele fijn verblijf gehad in La Francesa Suites, superhartelijke ontvangst, prettige sfeer, rustig gelegen, en op loopafstand van een bushalte die je voor een luttel bedrag naar het centrum van Malaga brengt, voor ons ideaal! Ook de boulevard en strand waren goed aan te lopen, met op aanraden van de gastvrouw een paar hele goede visrestaurants, waar we heerlijk hebben gegeten tegen een hele schappelijke prijs. Kleine kanttekening voor mensen met een huurauto, een enkele keer kan er even geen plaatsje zijn om te parkeren, en moet je in de omliggende straten een plekje zoeken, maar dit is maar een maal gebeurd en meestal kun je op een later tijdstip wel bij de b en b parkeren. Al met al een plek om naar terug te keren!

This 1911 preserved property formerly inhabit by the British consul, who married a French upper class woman, is now owned and operated by Doña Ana. She is the most wonderful and attentive host that you can ask for. I will not give much of the property's details and historical facts so you can discover yourself. The "La Casa de la Francesa" is located in a Malagan suburb, just 5 min walk to one of the main streets where you can take a bus to downtown. If you are looking for peace and quite, and a lodge with history...plus, delicious breakfast, you must stay here. Rooms are comfortable, modest and spacious with everything you'll need. Even a full minibar with reasonable prices. Take a blast to the past to turn of the XX century. Find yourself surrounded with citrus' trees and roses and feel "la belle epoque" today at Casa de la Francesa. Thanks Doña Ana!

The gentleman who helped me was very kind, however, the rooms are quite dark and not as big as the website shows. I was highly disappointed on my last day checking out when the woman who was running the hotel blamed me for breaking a table in my room - it was a complete accident as I set a tea pot on it and it collapsed. I was jetlagged and exhausted and felt terrible. On my check out day, I thought it was incredibly unprofessional for her to point it out to me, blaming me and telling me it was "mean" of me - and threatening to charge me. She treated me like a 12 year old who spilled milk. I left in a yelling match with her so to not get charged for an obvious mistake and a weak table. Completely not impressed. Overpriced and under-impressed.

Very pleasant & calm environment to stay for 3 nights. Gardens a real treat. Enjoyed good quality breakfast on patio. Ana & her team very helpful & responsive. Nice to have some canine company with 3 dogs too, very soft & friendly. The villa is 6-7km out of main Malaga city but bus route is close by & frequent & not expensive. There is a night bus too or just grab a taxi home. The villa is in a quiet, residential area. There are shops, bars & beach about 5-10 mins away but we found this area not so nice. Best bars & atmosphere in Malaga City itself. We stayed in two rooms, both nicely furnished & bathrooms have quality fittings.

If you are going to Malaga, this is a good central location from which to take day trips. The hosts were lovely and helpful. The rate was fair and the accommodations perfectly clean with comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The grounds of the suites are nice for daily breakfasts just outside the door of our room. A pool would have been great! Walkable beaches, although not the most pristine circumstances there.
