River Hotel

Excellent, friendly service. A unique hotel experience on the water on a boat (no motion so no worry of being sick/dizzy). Tasty buffet breakfast. Can’t beat the location close to the old town.

Auch abends haben die Gäste auf dem Oberdeck die Möglichkeit leckere Cocktails und Getränke, sowie Snacks uns Speisen zu sich zu nehmen. Dabei das lebendige Treiben um und auf der Moldau zu beobachten und sich dabei einfach von einem Tag in dieser wunderschönen Stadt zu erholen, wird für uns unvergessen bleiben. Die zentrale Lage und Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Riverhotel sind ein weiterer absoluter Pluspunkt. Auch das Ambiente im Frühstücksbereich hat uns wirklich gefallen

Hyggelig og annerledes

The staff were nice. The accomodations were clean. Overall a good value for the money. That being said, the WiFi was useless. I could not use my laptop at all because the signal was so weak that it constantly cycled between connecting and disconnecting (and we were in the first room off reception, so I can't imagine what people on lower floors or further down the hall had for a signal). One of the reasons I booked here was for the free Wifi so I could work a bit, and that was not possible. I had to turn the WiFi on my phone completely off when I was in the room and rely on my pricey international data because the cycling was killing my battery. I couldn't even check in for my flight because it wouldn't maintain a connection for even 5-10 minutes. The AC was also useless. The average temperature in our cabin was around 80° F with the AC on "full blast". While I understand that many hotels in Europe do not have AC, we chose this one because it was advertised as having it and the temperatures in Prague during our stay were high. Because this is a boat and has portholes instead of windows, they could not even be opened so it was stifling at night. Overall, I would stay there again because it was clean and reasonably priced, but only if the weather was cool and I didn't need Wi-Fi access.

Not so welcoming. The lady when I checked in didn’t smile. Alexander was kind enough to help bring down our big luggages. Uber is not familiar with the hotel. It dropped us off at the President Hotel. It would have been nice if they dropped us off right in front of the River Hotel. It was hard to bring down the big luggage on the stairs. It hurt my back.

Simply a wonderful place to be right in the core of things. Staff was fantastic, a little extra for parking but worth it. 10 minute walk to old town, shopping and restaurants. We took a super inexpensive Uber to the castle and walked back via the Charles Bridge. We only wish we had planned to stay longer and have another cold drink on the patio.
