"Overpriced and not luxury you would expect from a five star hotel"

It’s a nicely finished hotel that is quirky and in a good tourist location on the harbour.

The whole thing is quite overwhelming and not luxury. There is so many people and we waited 30 mins to check in. There was no acknowledgment of the birthday we had come for. The parking takes another 30 mins to get your car. We tried to swim in the pool and it was packed with kids screaming and bombing. It’s not a luxury hotel.

"Rooms try to be too techy/automated, and it’s clunky and frustrating."

Great location. Nice staff

Rooms are very impractical. Light switches, curtain functions, etc are all automated and it’s very frustrating. Room is either pitch black with curtains closed, or all lights on with curtains open. Often neither option is wanted eg when you’ve just woken up. You’ll see what I mean if you book a room at the W, which you probably shouldn’t.
