Hotel Golden Star

Our room had the best view of the street and the spires above old town square.

The hotel was beautiful. The location was perfect. The room was large and beautifully kept. The restaurant was delicious. All of the staff were so friendly and nice. Jana at reception was particularly friendly and helpful!

Just had a lovely short break at the Golden Star Hotel, Prague. The hotel is spotlessly clean with housekeeping every day. Our room (31) wasn’t huge but perfectly fine for a 4 night stay with good facilities. Staff are very friendly and helpful - we booked a taxi to and from the airport via the hotel. We stayed bed & breakfast which was a good selection of continental, hot options & fresh pastries. There is a restaurant and although we didn’t eat at the hotel the menu looked good. We thought the hotel is in a great location - although at the the top of a fairly steep hill it is only a 2 mins walk to Prague Castle & a 5 min walk downhill to Charles Bridge and loads of bars & restaurants. We stayed on the recommendation of our daughter who had stayed last year and would definitely pass on the recommendation.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel — everything was clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. A special thank you to Anastasia, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and always had a warm smile. She really made us feel welcome and taken care of. Thank you for making our stay extra special!

A wonderful hotel with a great restaurant and cafe. Beautiful decor and room, with a great view overlooking the hill down from the castle which can be seen from the front. The shower room like the rest of the room and hotel was spottlessly clean. Beautifully decorated throughout.The reception staff, breakfast staff and restaurant staff were all so lovely. We ate in the restaurant twice out of the three nights there and the food was excellent, cooked fresh to order. The breakfast also, with a good range to cater for different tastes, hot and cold. Gluten free options also. We booked a taxi transfer to and from the airport, through the hotel and the taxi drivers they use were very polite, helpful and professional. We could not fault this hotel, it was perfect and we highly recommend it.

My wife and I just had a fantastic short break in Prague and were so pleased we stayed at this wonderful Hotel. The location, despite being at the top of a steep hill was ideal and within easy walking distance of all of Prague`s great places of interest. The breakfast was excellent but the best part of all was the beautiful restaurant where the customer service from Roman and Jacob in particular was simply outstanding with wonderful food and wine and a charming authentic atmosphere. Would highly recommend this Hotel and we would go back for sure

This hotel is amazing. I was in room 24 which had one of the most incredible views I have ever had from a hotel room. It made my trip to Prague so special and I will be visiting again. The breakfast is great, continental with a cooked option. The rooms are spotless. This hotel is in a fabulous location, a little out of the city noise, but a beautiful walk to it. I can’t wait to visit again.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the hotel. The room (45) was very clean and luxurious, and the view was fantastic. The staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We loved the location in Lesser town - there is so much to see and do within walking distance. The old town is also within walking distance. We really wanted to give a 5 star review but had issues on the 3rd night with noisy/vibrating heating pipes that kept waking us every hour - the first two nights were fine with no noise, so this was really frustrating. To their credit, reception did try and help but couldn’t do anything at the time. I hope the hotel can resolve this problem, to prevent customers experiencing the same in future. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, and would recommend the hotel.

Beautiful location, super clean, friendly staff, great value.

We have just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay at the Hotel Golden Star. We stayed in room 45 located on the top floor with an absolutely stunning view of the city below. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with access to free tea and coffee making facilities which were replenished daily. The breakfast was plentiful with a choice of both hot and cold food to suit all tastes. The hotel although positioned at the top of a steep hill, was well situated and within close walking distance to Prague Castle. Other local attractions including Charles Bridge and the Astronomical Clock were a casual stroll down the hill with plenty to see and do on the way. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would be happy to recommend a stay at this hotel, if you were to visit the city. Thank you for making our trip a memorable one.
