Previously we had stayed at the royal continental next door but they were full so we stumbled on the excelsior. What a great score. Super friendly staff. Amazing roof top bar. Excellent breakfast. They upgraded us a a beautiful sea view room. The rooms were very romantic even though this was not a romantic vacation. Definitely five stars. Ed would very much stay here again.

"Fabulous hotel!"

Roof terrace bar and restaurant were top notch! Service and staff great! Excellent Breakfast in beautiful salon with views to Vesuvius’s! Room was spacious and bed good to sleep on. Bedroom was really quiet!

Everything was just perfect! Nothing to complain about.

"Beautiful hotel, attentive porter, registration was subpar"

We had two rooms reserved. The first room was for a single traveler and it seemed to be the same size as most European rooms. The send room had two travelers and was a corner room and was extremely big.

We requested an early check in that was confirmed with an email before our arrival. We were told that the people left late and they still needed to clean the room. For an hour they had me keep checking back. The last time I was told a few more short minutes. I sat in the lobby across from the registration desk for another half an hour. After I saw the gentleman who was helping me leave for a break I went up and checked and the room was ready. It felt like I was very much being ignored, even though we had an agreed upon time for check in and they were two hours late.

"Don’t miss Naples — it’s spectacular these days —and so is the Eurostar Excelsior!"

The hotel was palatial and one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. The rooms were opulent and spacious as well. The location along the Naples waterfront was exciting and within walking distance of the port, museums, piazzas, Mergellina, Galleria Umberto, the Teatro, Spanish Quarter, and much more. The staff was attentive and very helpful and the roof deck was a spectacular way to finish off the evening.
