The beautiful gardens with varied bird songs were fantastic.

Breakfast options are the same every day so it did get tedious. The shower enclosure was especially small and I was constantly bumping elbows on hard edges which can hurt and annoy. For larger people the shower enclosure door had to be kept open to use it.

El hotel tiene mucho encanto en la recepción y las zona comunes. La habitación era grande.

El baño era muy pequeño. La habitación necesitaría una remodelación. Había hormigas y otros insectos, ya sabemos que no son cocodrilos, pero es algo que uno no espera encontrar en un hotel de esta categoría. El precio algo elevado, dadas las circunstancias.

Breakfast at Villa Laetitia ) The most glamorous district of Rome, with a slight touch of snobbery. A very exclusive hotel, where guests could almost be counted on one’s fingers. In the morning, you observe sleepy faces, the light smell of shampoo coming from hair, silence. Everyone is a little confused and unprepared for the day. In the evening, in the same place, there is a perfect dinner in the garden with Michelin stars and the Fendi family showroom. On arrival, I felt like a film character — a heroine standing at the entrance while the director decided whether I had passed the casting. But my son and the porter smiled at me so warmly and widely that I immediately relaxed. I was already inside, and here was the hotel where I would gladly stay. My son’s first conclusion was that the designer furniture was extremely uncomfortable. “So, my dear son,” I said to him, “do not sit on it.” Casual chears and sofas are for using, welcome. The next morning, my son and I went down to have breakfast. It felt as if we were again inside a movie scene. At the next table was a family from China. The woman was wearing perfect makeup, bright lipstick, a perfect hairstyle, and of course Chanel. Everything was perfectly coordinated. It looked as if the morning had already turned into evening. A little further on, there was a beautiful young Italian woman. She was wearing boots despite the heat, bare legs, lots of lace, and a large branded backpack. A little theatre, a little acting — and this was her real life. I was wearing my morning casual clothes, my most comfortable slippers, and of course a mini Prada/Fendi bag. Because even when I am not trying, I am still about fashion. The son was living in absolute freedom: lots of cotton, lots of linen, an absolute mess on his head, and a smile stretching from ear to ear because I had asked him to smile. And suddenly, another family was sitting quietly.
