Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley

Our experience at Gusto Restaurant in the Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley was nothing short of truly special, and one we will remember for a long time. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, but what really made our evening unforgettable was Jordan. He was an absolute star — incredibly polite, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Despite the restaurant being busy, he went out of his way to find us a perfect table, making sure we were comfortable and well looked after from the very beginning. Jordan’s warm personality and easy conversation made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. He struck that rare balance of being professional while also being wonderfully chatty, making us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. The highlight of the evening was how he helped make my mum’s birthday so special. It was such a thoughtful surprise when he brought out a birthday dessert, and then — to our delight — the entire team of waiters joined in to sing for her. It created such a joyful, heartfelt moment that meant so much to all of us. The food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent, but it was Jordan’s kindness and attention to detail that truly elevated the night into something memorable. He is a real credit to the restaurant and the hotel. We left with full hearts, big smiles, and wonderful memories. Thank you for such a beautiful experience — we will definitely be back!

5 stars for the staff! Phil on reception was so lovely and went over and above. I stayed here whilst visiting for a family funeral so was very stressed, but Phil was incredibly helpful sorting out a booking mix up for me. Bar & food were lovely, Breakfast was 10/10, and the gym & spa were excellent. Room was MASSIVE and very comfortable.

Awful. Was booked into a disabled room, 158 steps from lift. Noisy corridor. No hot water for shower next morning. Never again.

Location amongst an industrial estate with shopping mall and starbucks within 5mins walk. Hotel itself is tired and in dire need of renovation. Despite it being low season no early check in was accommodated and we were so tired after our journey, floor was noisy with kids running up and down, bed was lumpy and hollow in the middle with springs digging in your back. No basic amenities such as toothpaste was offered. The pool was heated but the lockers were mostly broken with no door and no locks (so bring your own or risk theft). Would not recommend.

I stayed there overnight with my 14 year old. The room although a "delux" may have been the size but honestly I wouldn't call it a delux. I had high standards but the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned, the bath was covered in soap scum. She wanted to go to the pool, and we tried using the disabled facilities. It was more like everything was forgotten. The shower was leaking through where the control dial should have been but that was just a hole with what looked like mold. The room itself id be surprised anyone cleans it. Yellow floor. Absolutely disgusting. In the end we gave up as I was having to lean against the door as it didn't lock either. I'm sorry but no I won't be going back. Which is a shame as the staff seem lovely

Lovely breakfast and very comfy room. However the big highlight was how cheerful and helpful the staff are. Big shout out to Elaine - the incredibly nice lady on reception who helped a Luddite use some tech and Rachel the night manager who went out of her way to be nice to a tired guest. Thanks everybody:)

Firstly, the toilet in our room had no ventilation, which caused discomfort during our stay. More seriously, on the day of check-out, 9am and we were still inside the room sleeping, the cleaner knocked on the door and then entered the room while we were still inside. This was very disturbing and a clear violation of our privacy.

Very nice hotel. The staff at the hotel are very attentive and accommodating. The Globe Restaurant and Bar in the hotel is a nice place to have a meal and a drink or two. We had Jordan one of the restaurant staff waiting on us. He was very nice and very informative with the area we were in. He is a asset among others working at the Clayton Hotel.

My husband and I stayed for a week in the Clayton Liffey Valley while visiting family. The hotel is right off the M50 motorway and there is a lovely mall, shopping centre, about 10 minutes walk away. I loved the fact that the hotel has a pool and a hot tub. Ate several times in the Globe restaurant and the staff were very friendly, especially Jordan. He was always very attentive, without being OTT. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel seems to have very poor management. Children were running wild and screaming in the lobby,in the bar and along the corridors to the rooms. Breakfast is ok..typical hotel fare kept lukewarm under a heated lamp.. The bar staff,though lovely,have no system in place for ordering. Nobody notices you entering the restaurant ,and there is no system for taking an order. The food is just average and expensive for the quality. The leisure centre is not clean and the guy at reception was unfriendly and quite rude. The front desk staff are very disinterested in their job ,and though nice are very unprofessional. The rooms are OK,bed was comfortable, no visible way to adjust the temperature. TV channels didn't work. Could do with a decor update. Room not cleaned daily, Had to go in search of milk sachets and water. Felt distinctly uncomfortable coming in from making a phone call on the balcony to find a member of the cleaning staff in the room who hadn't made me aware she was there. Even worse followed by a knock on the door from a maintenance man asking when I was checking out which was strange and I felt a little spooked by it all . The only positive is it's proximity to the shopping centre. Avoid
