Friendly greeting during check in, followed by issue-free stay. Hotel is remodeling, but it was a minimal inconvenience. Rooms are modern and bathroom was fantastic (best shower ever). I do hope they can maintain some of the classic visual charm i saw online though. Breakfast was very good, a few more savory items might have been nice though. Originally thought it was a bit out of the way, then discovered a very convenient tram line at the end of the block. Excellent if coming in/out of train station. Very happy with the stay.

We stayed two nights at La Fortezza because of its location -- easy access to transport options to the airport at the end of our Italy trip, yet still within walking distance (1 mile) to the heart of Florence or to the train station. The room was very clean & comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was fine. But the best part of our stay was the reception staff — all three of the folks we encountered at the front desk were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, as well as bilingual, just what you want when staying in a new city in a new country.

The staff are always friendly and there to help. The rooms are clean and big. the price is the best in the area for such a great hotel. in good walking distance to the city center and also near the tram.

Nothing. everything is perfect with this location. we have stayed many times. we will always choose to stay here. we never have breakfast though because we prefer eating outside so i would not be able to comment on the breakfast.
