Shangri-La Far Eastern, Taipei

아침식사는 아주 좋았어요. 직원들도 아주 친절했답니다. 특히 감사한 점은 12시쯤 체크인 시간보다 일찍 도착했어요. 그런데도 부모님이 계셔서 그런지 체크인을 해주셔서 방에서 편히 쉴 수 있었어요. 또한 고층으로 주시고, 타이베이 101타워가 가까워서 야경이 아주 근사했습니다. 바로 옆에 더몰이라고 간단한 쇼핑몰이 있어서 맥주랑 간식도 사다 먹고, 호텔 1층에는 5시 반 이후엔 빵도 할인해서 팔아서 두 번이나 사먹었습니다. 소금빵 아주 맛있어요. 조용히 쉬기에는 아주 좋아요.

주변이 너무 조용해서 쉬기는 좋았지만 심심했고, 시내에서 좀 떨어져 있네요. 호텔이 좀 오래된 느낌이 나네요.

This is the highest level of service I've ever experienced. I literally want to return just for that!!!

Wifi would cut out a little. No big deal. That was the only thing!!! I am someone who hates hotels, always preferring BnBs. But this place blew me away!!!!

I mentioned that my room was very dark, and it was obviously old because it is indeed an older hotel, the window was also very dusty. I was disappointed to be spending the amount that I did for a very small room which I paid for three people. I mentioned to front desk and they could not assist - it is a pity became that was my dad’s first visit after nearly after 50 years ! I have stayed in shangri-la a couple of times in different countries. We have always look forward to the buffet breakfast however, it was mainly carbohydrates in different forms. Proteins were eggs, chicken breast for salad, meat balls and perhaps salmon … I am now in another Shanghai-la hotel in Hong Kong and I hope not to have mediocre breakfast again!

Lovely hotel and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Really good selection of food for breakfast with Taiwanese, Asian Japanese and Western food. Location is good as is not too far from Taipei 101 and Freedom Square. Closest metro station is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
