Maritim Hotel München

Don't expect much for what you pay.

The bedroom did not have air conditioning; it was only available in the second room of the Junior Suite. A key card had to be placed in the holder to keep the air conditioning running, but the housekeeping staff repeatedly removed it during cleaning. We requested a large double bed but were provided with two single beds instead. The pillows were soft feather pillows, with no alternative pillow options available. Room service only starts at 10:30 a.m. and does not offer a breakfast menu and restaurant closes at 10pm. There was no porter available to assist with luggage. Short-cut bottoms on telephone in room did not work and no one told us how to reach reception. Food and beverages at the hotel were generally very expensive.

Location near train station. Comfortable hotel for tourists. Pool. Near a lot of ethnic restaurants with good, cheap food which we found on the last day. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Restaurant was expensive with limited menu. Not a lot of restaurants in the vicinity. Area is a bit seedy but we felt safe as we usually were out during daylight hours.

Easy access to Hauptbahnhof (2 min). Very nice staff. We received an upgrade (thank you!).
