Plaka Hotel

The location is great as it’s within easy walking distance of several historical sites in Athens. The breakfast was fine with plenty of options to choose from. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom a good size with space to put toiletries and good water pressure in the shower. The rooftop terrace restaurant, Door in Athens, is an excellent dining option available at the hotel. Very good food and excellent staff.

While the room was clean, there was a musty smell in the bathroom and things looked tired and worn overall in the room and hotel in general.

In the smaller rooms there’s no mirror ( the bigger rooms have a mirror inside the wardrobe), only the one in the bathroom which makes it difficult if you want to use the hairdryer with a mirror. Also, if your room is on the 6th floor, you can hear chairs being moved on the roof terrace.

Location is great, good breakfast selection.

I had requested a double bed but we got 2 single beds pushed together with seperate bedding which was not comfortable sleeping arrangements.

Very good selection..something for all tastes.
