Good location, helpful staff and very comfortable bed.

Making a cup of tea at the buffet breakfast was very slow as the only access to boiling water was through the coffee machine, which then had to run 5 cycles of hot water to get the pipes clear of residual coffee before the water was clean enough to make tea. Perhaps a hot water urn would be more efficient for the tea drinkers.

location is great and the cleanliness of the room

During our stay at Ascott Hotel, we experienced a disappointing issue regarding the Wilson Parking located beside the building. Before heading to the parking area, my wife **specifically asked the front desk staff** about the parking pass or ticket included with our booking. Instead of providing the pass or giving clear instructions, the staff told us to “just go to the parking.” Because of this lack of guidance, we were charged **$101** at Wilson Parking — even though the hotel rate should have been **$45**. This was a significant and unnecessary expense that could have been avoided if the staff had simply given us the correct parking pass when we asked. We chose this hotel partly because of the advertised parking arrangement, so it was frustrating to pay more than double the expected amount due to staff oversight. The hotel itself was fine, but this experience left a negative impression, and I hope management improves communication and ensures guests receive the correct parking passes moving forward.

Breakfast was fantastic. Location is central to everything. The room had a great view of the city.
